EBay Customer Service Help 11/20/2011
Selling on EBay is a great way to earn some extra income if you need a fairly sedentary job while awaiting or recovering from injury, illness or laser spinal surgery. I have sold on EBay periodically on and off for years and I am proud of my high 100% positive fee I wrote to EBay's customer relations people for several days about an issue I was concerned about in a minor buying and selling account and they would not assist me. I told them they would loose four EBay accounts over the issue if they did not provide me with fair justice and I provided them with all the evidence they needed to see I was in the right. I received non reply emails from them as a result saying they would do nothing. Last night I canceled 130 listings on EBay, a selling manager program and my EBay store and re set up my own private sales store as you will see, above. This morning EBay contacts me to say to disregard all the other emails they sent and that they will look into the issue for me. It is a bit late EBay...I have set my own store up. I enjoy looking after my customers and will love to do so without the middle man. Feel very welcome to look at my Flower, Horse, Landscape and Portrait galleries accessed from the above link bar and know I will never send you non reply EMails if you have a concern. :-) Best regards, Kathy Add Comment Keeping the Finance System Honest. 09/29/2011
I took Reg out to a fishing tackle store and let him loose to play, while I did my first mystery shopper assignment. Then we found a lovely Middle Eastern style cafe and shared a seniors lunch. One light meal was enjoyed and shared between the two of us. I was able to fill out my first retail investigation report and read up on my second assignment while Reg sipped a coffee after the meal. What an enjoyable way of working. My second mystery shopper assignment was an 'eye opener.' I have dealt with finance before, having purchased goods on term loans, had mortgages and personal loans throughout my life. All of those had been with reputable companies. In this mystery shopper assignment I was to ask a company how I could finance the purchase of an item I had in mind. The interest rate (one they did not disclose, I had to work out) was 100% PA, a shocking high rate and the failure to disclose the actual interest rate or the fact that you would be immediately paying $35. for every $100. borrowed, right up front prior to any other charges, was below industry standards. It was very, 'buyer beware' and I felt like they were praying on those who could least afford these high rates as they made no attempt to find out if I could afford such a loan or meet the repayments. Wow! There are some crooks out there ready to try to con and fleece seniors. There are of course some excellent finance companies and may financial institutions ensure their employees and business planners receive payments education and expertise from reputable companies such as ach check. I quite enjoyed getting a 'shock' at how bad some businesses are and knowing I was going to be officially reporting what these people asked of me (the 100 points of ID and my income) and did not willingly disclose to me, (the cost of the loan and interest rate,) when I approached them as a mystery investigating shopper, for a loan. Knowing that my report might lead to an improvement in the current unacceptable behavior of that business gave me great job satisfaction. I am eager for my next assignment. It is good that finance people know that a national body is aware of their activities and is sending mystery shoppers in to see what they are being told. Helps to keep the system honest. Now I am home, I want the second half of my lunch I shared....I'm starving. Must be the adrenalin surge I got from doing this interesting mystery shopper, job. Grocery Run, try out. 09/28/2011
Did anyone else try out the opening of the Grocery Run on line specials. I did, My order arrived today and I was pleased :-). Two huge boxes filled with groceries, my coffee and 1/4 of the shop prices. I was pleased. Wonder what others who tried it, thought. Cupboards filled with paper towels, cleaning produces, fresh nuts, Oro coffee, Lady Grey Tea...I'll have to only order once a fortnight or I'll over stock up. I did place my second order. The only problems I have had so far has been with the logging in. I suspect their system is not handling the surge of users. I was able to buy my perishables today in the supermarket using the express check out as all my bulky non perishables were delivered to the post office where I collected them. I changed brands with toilet paper and washing powder as they were not selling the brands I use. No problem, the saving made it worth changing brands. I ordered half the quantity this time after my first larger stock up some of which had been Christmas hamper gifts. I found it an easy order to put though, and once again, I avoided all the junk food and sugar laden cereals. I am not sure how my overall budget till handle this. Yes items are cheaper, however I feel I may be buying more and increasing the quantity because the specials are good and then there is the delivery fee. I find sitting watcuhing TV with my husband and placing the grocery order, is so easy...too easy...I used to get a lot of exercise walking up and down the gracery isles. Mystery Shopper 09/28/2011
I just picked myself up an interesting reporter assignments job to do in the Shepparton region and I can continue it when I travel, just change locations. No different to the free lance work I already do other than the assignments will be chosen by a national company and lol...I'm not allowed to say who I work for ow what I'm writing the reports about. lol..Gee exciting...fulfilled one of my almost forgotten childhood dreams....to become a spy. lol. Yes... I am just becoming a plain ordinary...mystery shopper lol and that's all I'm allowed to tell. I will enjoy being paid to shop. Obsessed with work 09/13/2011
I have been wanting an Apple mac computer and have been searching for a price that made the purchase possible. Bring on Cyber Monday I have my much longed for new computer and can search and buy the bargains with ease. LOL. Sometimes the computer is fun and useful and other times I need to ration my time on it and remember to keep a balanced lifestyle. Do you get 'obsessed with work too?' Try the observation & corrections tool. Observation:-Workaholism last night. Not even a project I love like my novel. Listing my English china on EBay became addictive last night and I had to drag myself away because I 'hadn't finished it.' Correction:-Tonight when I get stuck into the downsizing listing work I will set a strict clocking off time and not begin a new project after 11.30pm, aim for MN in bed. Do you struggle to balance activities too? |
