Half a century of commissioned canine portraits, as my side track from my first goal.
Lifetime goals, have you noticed how they change over time?

Did you realise we are often more successful when we do not achieve our long-term goals, but choose a side route to a better destination?

Choosing not to achieve the goal we originally chart a course to, does not mean we quit or  are a failure, it can be the most positive decisions of our life to change course, even when the goal we thought we wanted is within our reach.

I mean, lol, J, could you imagine me,  nature and quiet life, lover, designing the logo’s to go on a  Nascar jacket?

My original art goal had been to be a commercial artist and one of my first assignments, was drawing an illustration, to show how tuff Yakka overalls were and I drew two elephants tugging at each leg of the overall.  Then I decided I preferred to draw, trees, flowers, children and dogs and found I was soon being commissioned to paint portraits of dogs, and so I was led astray from my life time commercial art goal, lol, J, never looked back and never regretted, not achieving that one early in life, goal.

So next time, you feel, you are not achieving, take a look at what you have, what you are achieving.

Never believe you are not good enough for a goal. Maybe the goal is not good enough for you.
