Meet Penny from Michie Moments. 04/16/2010
I'd like to start by thanking Kathy for letting me be a guest blogger on her wonderful blog! Hi my name is Penny Michie from Michie Moments. I am first and foremost a wife & a mum and as I'm sure you can all appreciate, both of these things keep me very busy! Now don't get me wrong, since we had our daughter in September 2008 I have been happier than ever! I love my life! However ... I felt I wanted more from life. I wanted to work and earn money for our family but I also didn't want to have to return to the 9-5 office job I once had and put our daughter into childcare. So off I went in search of "my thing" and I just happened to find it one Saturday afternoon while sitting in a friends lounge room viewing some awesome educational products for kids. The company was called The Learning Ladder. I had been to a party before and purchased lots of products which I loved! Sure enough after the party I raced home to talk to Steve about my find! After a long discussion, Steve and I decided there was no downside to giving Learning Ladder a go :) So I did it, I signed up and 6 months down the track I'm loving it! I'm making money, meeting new people, and having a blast and have been able to do it without compromising my family time! If anything Steve and Ella have a beautiful daddy/daughter relationship as a result! My dreams have come true, I have a loving & supportive husband, a beautiful daughter a booming business and am not only teaching my daughter with some wonderful products thanks to The Learning Ladder but I am also helping parents instil a love of learning into their children in hope that they too can reach their full potential. So here we are in April 2010 and I have decided to take on a new adventure. Blogging about us and our journey with Ella - learning with our Learning Ladder products. Feel free to pop over to my blog - www.michiemoments.com - we would love to see you there! Cheers, Penny Michie Moments www.michiemoments.com Welcome to Michie Moments. The aim of this blog is to share the going-ons in our little family. We live in the Illawarra in New South Wales, Australia. We love our little home - we have the best of both worlds, 10 mins to the beach, 10 mins to the Escarpment ... what more could we ask for? I am remembering the terror of the bushfires. At the same time I am feeling so blessed and grateful for recent rain accross much of the country, the aftermath of Cyclone Olga, reducing the risk of more bushfires this summer. I am remembering those 173 lives lost, the injuries, terror faced by many more and terrible destruction of property and nature, also the incredible effort of our brave firefighters and support volunteers, on this day 1 year ago. You and your loss, will always be in our thoughts. In the news today:- The Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has declared a national day of mourning for the Victorian bushfire victims. And while long list of problems faced by the victims is slowly being addressed and every day that list seems to get longer. Police say they're looking into reports of looting, and today they arrested two men who were seen acting suspiciously in a fire zone. Tourists are also being asked to show respect, and stay out of fire ravaged communities. It comes as the cooler weather brings a chance for fire fighters to contain more than 30 fires. Phots are of wholesale gift shop SALE items in our EBay store. Today I am listing some of my fridge magnets on EBay in my EBay artmagnets store, but you will find more variety in the fridge magnets in this store and no postage fee for Australian delivery. Because I am taking some time to list downsizing stock of teddy bears and ex exhibition gifts stock in the EBay store, I have slowed down in the placing of the individual shopping carts into this store, but just email me if you would like to buy separated from the groupings fridge magnets and I will make an effort to split up into single shopping carts those you request and keep going with the EBay downsizing store, if your happy to order in my current groupings.. Jhttp://stores.shop.ebay.com.au/FridgeMagnetArt-Store My quote for today, definitely one I will use on a fridge magnet in the future, J When it's too painful to look back, And too frightening to look forward, Look beside you; a friend will be there." --- Author Unknown Quotes on friends Motivational quotes for teens |
